My dad turned the big 65, and we threw him a big birthday bash! It was so fun to see everyone that came and supported my dad. I knew we would have a good turn out, because what can I say, I have an AWESOME dad...but it was overwhelming to watch the guests continuing to flow in. It was really neat! Happy Birthday D, your my Hero!

Motherhood - The Highest and Noblest of Work in this Life

“Most of you are mothers, and very many of you are grandmothers and even great-grandmothers. You have walked the sometimes painful, sometimes joyous path of parenthood. You have walked hand in hand with God in the great process of bringing children into the world that they might experience this estate along the road of immortality and eternal life. It has not been easy rearing a family. Most of you have had to sacrifice and skimp and labor night and day. As I think of you and your circumstances, I think of the words of Anne Campbell, who wrote as she looked upon her children: You are the trip I did not take; You are the pearls I cannot buy; You are my blue Italian lake; You are my piece of foreign sky. You [mothers] are the real builders of the nation wherever you live, for you have created homes of strength and peace and security. These become the very sinew of any nation. -Gordon B. Hinckley I was overwhelmed with emotions today feeling so grateful to be a mother to my beautiful girls! I feel so lucky that Heavenly Father has blessed me with so much! They are my Pride and Joy and I am grateful for all they have and continue to teach me. I hope all you beautiful mothers had a fantastic Mother's Day!

Listen to the Wisdom of The Toothless One

Elizabeth lost her first tooth! She has been saving this cute little bad to put her tooth in for the tooth fairy since she was like two years old. She was super excited to finally be able to use it! She is so funny, so kept saying 'look how tiny my tooth is mom'. I think the Tooth Fairy was feeling a little generous (or that's all Mr.Fairy had in his wallet) either way, Elizabeth was way excited to go to the Dollar store.

Happy Easter

The girls woke up to an exciting little Easter egg hunt and some beautiful dresses. It made for a very happy morning.
This year I have talked a lot to Elizabeth about why we celebrate Easter. It's so fun to watch her process and think about it and answer her questions. I remind all of you as we celebrate Easter with our family and friends, let us not forget to REMEMBER our Savior for He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. Happy Easter Everyone!

Neighborhood Easter Hunt

I have the best visiting teacher, and she has the sweetest kids whom Elizabeth adores. My cute visiting teacher had a small gathering of kids and had a hunt in her back yard. It was fun to visit with some of our favorite people in the ward, and let Elizabeth play with her friends. Thanks again Tammy, we had a blast!

The Coloring of Eggs

My parents have a tradition of coloring Easter eggs with all the grandchildren and then have an Easter egg hunt. The Turners were out of town, so it was just us and the Taintors. The kids love coloring the eggs, and always have a good time.
It was fun to watch Scarlett this year walking around and picking up the eggs during the hunt. She caught on very quickly.
Later in the afternoon, we went and visited Ryan's dad, Papa Rod. Elizabeth looks forward to going over thee is see her grandpa and to see her old dog Poncho. Papa Rod spoiled her and Scarlett with gifts and Elizabeth was in heaven playing with the dogs.
