It's a GIRL!!!

ryan and i are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a GIRL!!!
elizabeth has wanted a girl from the beginning. we have explained to her that it could be a boy. the morning we went for the ultrasound we told her that we were going to find out if the baby was a boy or girl, she said 'mommy, if it's a boy i guess i will still share my toys with him'. what a good little sister!
needless to say, she was very happy when we told her we were having a girl.
plus, i just have to say that EVERYONE thought it was a boy, so it was funny telling everyone that it was a girl, it was like everyone was in shock, or thought i was playing a joke on them, lol.
ryan and i of course make beautiful girls, so we are very happy to have another!

Elizabeth's First Haircut

elizabeth's hair hasn't stopped growing since she has born! we normally just get little trims to even it out, but have always kept it long. her two best friends, brighton and kylee have cute little haircuts, and elizabeth has been telling us she wants her hair like theirs. ryan and i thought about it for almost 2 months because her hair is so beautiful long. then we both realized it's just hair and it will grow back. plus,elizabeth will look adorable no matter what! we were right, she looks so cute with short hair, and she loves it!

Am I Really 27?

i can't believe how quickly the years have passed!! i still feel like it was yesterday that i was in high school. i can't complain though, because in these passing years i have had many wonderful blessings that have enriched my life, and so it makes getting a year older not as painful as I thought it would be. i celebrated my birthday just as i hoped, around incredible friends and family. when i am around loved ones, it reminds me how happy i really am. thank you all for celebrating with me, it made my birthday perfect!

17 Weeks Pregnant

Sparkling Smile

elizabeth had her first visit with the dentist, and she did awesome! she really likes this lady named kris that works there, and listened to everything kris said. after kris finished cleaning elizabeth's teeth, the dentist came in and elizabeth wouldn't even open her mouth, lol. when kris told her to open her mouth for the dentist, elizabeth did as she was told. it was funny all day she kept looking in the mirror and smiling, admiring her sparkling smile. i was very proud of her.

Labor Day Weekend

we all spent the holiday weekend up at the cabin. it was really nice having the turners up there with us too. we had lots of fun reading, playing in the river, taking naps, playing fun games like jarts and cranium. the kids and dogs were in heaven running all around. it was a great weekend.
