San Diego - Temple, Mission Bay, La Jolla & Oceanside Beach
We couldn't think of a better way to spend the morning on conference weekend then to visit the San Diego Temple after hearing inspiring words from our leaders! The temple was closed because conference weekend, so it was nice and quite and we were just able to enjoy the beauty of the House of our Lord.
Before we head to the beach with the Turners, we decided to take Elizabeth and Scarlett to Mission Bay to look at the boats and collect sea shells.
We then headed to Oceanside, but Holly and I got greedy and wanted to go to La Jolla because we love the smooth beautiful sand, lol, but once we got to La Jolla beach, we realized we made a mistake because the waves were so scary and the kids couldn't really get in the water. Locals kept telling us that we probably shouldn't go out in the water. So...the kids got to enjoy the sand, which I don't think they minded.
We decided on the way back to the beach house, we would stop by Ocean Side Beach to let some of the kids boogie board. The sun was going down, and it was pretty chilly, but they all still had a lot of fun.
So sad to see our trip come to an end, we will miss you San Diego!!!

San Diego - Old Town, Sea Lion Cove, La Jolla Beach
You can't go to San Diego without making a stop at Old Town! We went and got a lesson on The Mormon Battalion, ate at one of our favorite places The Wild Coyote, and always have to go to Cousin's Candy Shop! It was a good morning!
We heard about a children's cove that years ago was taken over by Sea Lions that you could go see. Of course we didn't want to miss out, so we went to the La Jolla Cove to see the Sea Lions! It was crazy busy with people, and the smell was overwhelming, but the kids loved it!
We ended another beautiful day at La Jolla Beach.

San Diego Here We Come!!
We planned a fun trip with the Turners staying in a beach house in San Diego for a week, and man did we enjoy every second of it! We were always out taking every advantage our are vacation!
The first day we spent the morning at a Point Loma Tide Pool at Cabrillo National Monument Park. It was so cool, none of us had ever been to a tide pool, and we all loved it!
After the tide pools we went to the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Which was neat, cause I had never seen a light house, and the history of the Light house was interesting as well. They say the Old Point Loma Lighthouse stood watch over the entrance to San Diego Bay for 36 years. At dusk on November 15, 1855, the light keeper climbed the winding stairs and lit the light for the first time. What seemed to be a good location 422 feet above sea level, however, had a serious flaw. Fog and low clouds often obscured the light. On March 23, 1891, the light was extinguished and the keeper moved to a new lighthouse location closer to the water at the tip of the Point.
Today, the Old Point Loma Lighthouse still stands watching over San Diego, it was really amazing to see the small spaces that the keeper stayed in.
Then we ended the day having a blast at Ocean side beach.
