Elizabeth & Bubba

Elizabeth loves having her friends over, especially when we do crafts. We were lucky enough to have Bubba and his little brother over to play and we made our own little windup toys. They had a lot of fun together, Elizabeth always looks forward to when they get to come over.

Preschool Bowling

Elizabeth's field trip for March was bowling. Ryan and I thought it was crazy that we have never taken her bowling before. She had so much fun, and she was actually pretty darn good. I can't wait to take her again soon!

Universal Studios

There is defiantly a different atmosphere between Disneyland and Universal Studios...let's just say I missed Disneyland. However, I don't know if it was the weather, but Universal Studios was not that busy, so that was a blessing. We still had a lot of fun, and I think Ryan's favorite things was the back lot tour. The 3D King Kong was super awesome! I would have to say mine was the Water World show! Love that show every time!
Can I just say that our little Elizabeth is Super Awesome! She was seriously so brave! One of my favorite rides is the Jurassic Park ride, but at the end of the ride there is a 85 feet high near-vertical drop. Which of course scares me, so I thought no way would Elizabeth go on it! She was barely tall enough, but she really wanted to go on it, so we took her on it and she had so much fun. She got a little nervous and said her tummy had butterflies in it, but that she loved it! What a brave little girl!
After a long day at the park, we thought it would be fun to go eat at Pink's Hot Dogs. If you haven't heard of Pink's its famous! Pink's Hot Dogs is a landmark hot dog restaurant in Hollywood. It was crazy busy even late in the evening, but it was worth the wait in line! Unfortunately we didn't see any movie stars waiting in line with us.

Disneyland

Have I mentioned that I LOVE Disneyland! I love everything about it. I love that it's magical, I love that I can be a kid, I love that everyone is happy, I love the characters, I love the rides, I love that I can leave my stroller and not worry something will get taken, I love laughter and smiles, I love the gift shops, I love watching people. I just love the atmosphere of Disneyland and I will miss it and will look forward to our next vacation here!
I have to post my favorite picture of the day!
We got an awesome farewell with Tinkerbell waving goodbye to all of us!

Disneyland

I have decided that you can't come to Disneyland without experiencing the incredible character dinning! We have always done the breakfasts because we love breakfast food, but I'm sure any of meals are fantastic! This year we decided to do a Princess Theme breakfast at Ariel's Grotto. Elizabeth was in Heaven! She couldn't even eat she was to excited to see the next princess come out! It was so worth it to watch her giggle and get her autograph book all ready. She seriously couldn't stop smiling, it was the cutest thing!
The rest of the day was of course filled with magic! The evening parade was great! Elizabeth was so excited when Pluto came up to her during the parade to get a high five.
We are horrible parents, because for some crazy reason Elizabeth has never had cotton candy! She has found a new love!

Disneyland

Oh how I love the magic of Disneyland! I love walking in and reading the sign: Here You Leave Today, and Enter The World Of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy! That is exactly what we plan to do the next three days!! I think our favorite ride of the day was Finding Nemo...what a cool ride! We also learned that Elizabeth loves roller coasters! She was like begging to go on California Screamer but she was to short. She said her favorite ride of the day was either Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain. All this time we thought she was shy, we really she is quite Brave!

Sea World

I can't tell you how much Elizabeth LOVES animals, so she has been looking forward to Sea World for weeks! It was fun to watch Scarlett's reaction to the different animals too! They both would just giggle. At the end of the day we asked Elizabeth what her favorite animal was that she saw. She said the Sea Lions, because they looked like GrandMerry and Papa's dachshunds and begged like them too. It was pretty funny. We went back to the Sea Lions for one last look, and she was right, they did have a funny resemblance to my parents dogs, lol. I have to say that I have never been to the Dolphin show, and it was so crazy to see how high they can shoot out of the water. I was still amazed with how big those killer whales are, that they manage to completely get their body out of the water entirely. It was amazing. I think we learned the most about the Sea Turtles, they were super cool. I think Ryan's favorite was getting to pet the kangaroo. I couldn't get over how soft they were, and they were so darn cute! It was sure a fun day though, but I am excited to get out of the rainy weather and get up to Sunny Anaheim for some Disney Magic!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth Jeanne!

I still can't believe my little Elizabeth is already 5 years old! It felt like yesterday that I was holding her in my arms for the first time! She has taught me so much, mostly how blessed I feel to be her mother and how much love I have for her! What better way to begin the morning then with some birthday presents!
After church, we headed over to the San Diego Temple. What a amazing Temple! There was this beautiful tree right when you walk into the Temple, and it was all just so wonderful. Even though it was very cold and windy, and the kids weren't all that happy, I'm glad we took time to visit the Temple. I defiantly would love to attend this Temple someday!
After the Temple, we went to Old Town and visited the San Diego Mormon Battalion Historic Site. It was amazing learning about these extraordinary people and what they accomplished all because their faith and trust in the Lord! It was truly amazing! The kids really like it too, and after the tour there was an area where the kids could play and they really enjoyed that.
It was really fun walking around Old Town and looking at everything and smelling all the yummy food. The doctor I work for told me I couldn't go to Old Town without taking Elizabeth to this fun candy shop. Since it was her birthday we let her pick something out, and so she got some fudge.
Smelling all the delicious food we made it to the Wild Coyote. It was a great Mexican restaurant. They even sang to Elizabeth and she had flan for the first time and she was so sweet and gave everyone a bite. Happy Birthday our little monkey girl, we love you so much!

Happy St. Patricks Day

Even though we were in San Diego, somehow a Leprechaun still found us! He must have know we were going to Disneyland, because he brought he kids some super cute mickey ears!
It actually rained all day long, but when there was finally a break from the rain we took the kids over to Mission Bay to look at the boats. They were happy to get out of the beach house for a little while.

Sunny California

We made it to San Diego in one peace! The girls did pretty darn good for being in the car that long and happy to get out of the car. We were all happy to fall asleep listening to the ocean and the excitement of going to the beach the next day!
We all had a great day at the beach! We went early in the morning and even though it was so cold the kids jumped right into the water and were laughing and having a blast. Ryan wasn't a huge fan of the cold water, it was a struggle to just get his feet wet. Elizabeth and I on the other hand went pretty far out into the water and got soaked and loved it. Once the kids were turning blue/purplish we had to pry them from the water for some lunch and to warm up. After lunch we went back for some more fun, which it was a lot warmer by then. Elizabeth and I collected so many cool seashells for her and Scarlett. We even found a bunch of sand dollars which were Elizabeth's favorite.
The kids were tuckered out after the long day at the beach

Happy 16th Birthday Mystery

Mystery was sweet enough to share her party with Elizabeth since we were going to be out of town on her actual birthday. It was fun having all the family together to celebrate both wonderful girls we are lucky enough to have in our family.

Guess Whoooo is turning Five?

I can't hardly believe how quickly five years have past us by! It just amazes me how the years have past. I feel so grateful to have our little monkey girl brighten our lives a little more each day with her beautiful smile and contagious laugh.

Elizabeth is very into owls, and so of course when I asked her what can of party, she said owl party.
It was very interesting to have 13 little 5 year old children running around playing musical chairs, pin the owl on the tree and especially the pinata. I will remember to never do a pinata with little kids...it was a little scary when the candy went flying and kids came running but there was still swinging action from the stick going on, lol. They all seemed to have a lot of fun though.

Elizabeth was spoiled with all sorts of gifts. It was fun to see all the smiles and giggles while she opened presents.

I was able to round my mom into helping me sew owl wing caps. They turned out super cute! Then I also made some owl masks that I think the kids really liked.

We of course couldn't go without a family photo!

Love of Books
